4th Grade Moving Eye Portraits
Fourth grade students looked at the artist, Leonardo DaVinci and his life and work. We took a special interest in his painting, "Mona Lisa" and how it seems her eyes follow you around. Students used cereal boxes as a sturdy backing to make a sliding track for their tag piece, which has their eyes drawn on it, to be able to move back and forth. Students used paint and water soluble oil pastels to add detail and color to their portraits. Below are a few examples.
